Women in Sound
On November 13th 2015 I attended the Women in Sound/On Sound Symposium in Lancaster. The theme of this event was the role of women in sound. Presentations were given by computer programmers, sound artists and researchers highlighting the work of female artists working with sound both past and present. The symposium offered an open forum discussing the role of women in sound and what we can do to bridge the gender gap. This was a wonderful day of talks and installations. I also had the pleasure of curating a concert for this event. For more information about the symposium and future events go to http://wiswos.bitbucket.org/
