![]() My soundscape work Beyond the Lakes was selected to be part of this project at the University of Greenwich along with other great composers. The digital album can be downloaded here "Our first release, Loudspeaker Music for Headphones, Volume One, features 13 electroacoustic pieces which have been replayed live through a circular eight-channel loudspeaker array. Using a recording technique based around dummy-head microphones placed in the prime location at the centre of the array we capture the full width, depth, movement and subtle localisation in the music. To appreciate the full spatial effect of these recordings, it's essential to listen on headphones. Bear in mind that these recordings have a full dynamic range; quiet sections really are quiet, and loud sections really loud. Avoid turning up the volume too high! All the composers featured on this first release have presented work at Loudspeaker Orchestra Concerts at the University of Greenwich, and participated in Sound Image conferences 2016 and 2017."
